Truth today, what is it, how do you find it?
Unfortunately, today a lot of people are not interested in what the real truth is. They have their own beliefs and only are interested in listening to what validates their beliefs and not what the truth really is. This group generally want to know "what is in it for me?" and "don't tell me what to do." They reject authority and want to do whatever they want to do. This website probably has nothing for these people. Much truth is black and white and can be discovered. Some answers cannot be proven and in that case there generally is a wide variety of theories and some are presented as absolute truth which is as dishonest as you can get. I do not claim to have all the answers but I think a person searching for and interested in finding truth will find this website of interest and of help in finding some answers.
Finding the truth takes some work and investigation and an open mind. A person must be initially skeptical, question data, question the common beliefs, look for information from people who have done much research in the area and who are clearly intelligent but also look for people with differing ideas. More than that, a person needs to use logic and ask what makes the most sense and not that just supports your original belief if you have one.
Here is an example of people who would NOT find this website of any use to them.
Two different times I was involved in a group training session where people were divided into groups and each group was to decide what to do. The exercise was a common one that is often used in group training sessions. The situation is this: your group has crash landed in the desert. The flight crew didn't make it so it is just the group that survived. You have a number of items available to you including a limited amount of food and water, a low detail map of the general area that covers hundreds of miles. The question is whether you should try to walk out or stay and wait for help.
My first experience was that I had not been through the exercise before and had no idea what the right answer was so we all discussed the pro's and con's of what to do. All but one of the group decided the best course of action was to stay with the plane and wait to be rescued. That one person was certain he could walk out and could find help and bring it back. Close to the end of the time allotted a young gal who had not said much during the discussion finally said, "I have been through this exercise before and the correct answer is we should stay with the plane." The dissident person said, "I don't care, I am still walking out!" That person had no interest in the truth, and only cared about what he believed and wanted to do regardless of whether their was overwhelming evidence of what was true. Our group because of that one person, lost the competition because we did not come to a consensus.
The second time was decades later. I was a manager and found myself in the exact same exercise with an entirely different set of people at a different company. This time I played the same roll as the gal in the previous exercise because I knew the answer. This time, most of the group, who were also mostly managers or supervisors and who were mostly all pretty strong willed people decided they were going to walk out. I told them that I had been through this exercise before and the right answer was to stay with the plane and wait to be rescued. Again, those strong willed people didn't care about the right answer, only about doing what they had decided to do and no one was going to be told they were wrong.
The CEO of the company had watched that exercise and afterwards asked me why I didn't force them to listen. I said that was not possible. He asked if I had not seen the movie, "12 Angry Men?" I had not but subsequently did. I am here to tell you many many years after that, that movie was just a movie. When a person is one who will not listen to anyone that disagrees with them no matter what the consequences, you will not convince them. In real life, the scenario in that movie rarely happens if ever and the actual outcome is a "hung jury."
I have found that the world is full of people that have no interest in the truth, no interest in listening to someone who has the answer, and have no interest in logic and reason. To those people I say, don't waste your time here. Go ahead and do your own thing and reap the consequences. OR... spend a little time here in spite of your attitude and see if something here just might make sense to you. An honest person would admit they can still learn something everyday regardless of how much they already know about a subject. That person that has no interest in the truth is very unlikely to be here in the first place so assuming you are not one, please continue.
There is one more thing that will help in finding the answer and that is if you have a source that you can fully trust and compare all other information to. The Bible is that one source. If you have already written that off as untrustworthy and have no faith in it, you might still find it interesting to find out what the Bible says about different subjects such as angels, demons, life after death, spirits, and so on. I make no apology for accepting the Bible as the foundational authority to start with.
You can always use the menu to jump to any subject that is of interest to you but I suggest that you at least start with one specific page: CLICK HERE.
A Work in Progress
The rule in website design is to never release a webpage that does not have full content, not that it can't be updated, but one that is clearly unfinished. I am breaking the rule on this website because it is most important to release it so that people have the opportunity to know what the ultimate truth is and to act on it. At the same time, I want to give an idea of what all is to come but is not yet completed. It was critically important that I release the basics as soon as I could even though so many topics are not complete. One never knows just how long any individual has before they die or are killed and no longer have any choice to make.
